Great replica in scale. 1992 Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Trans-Am champion Jack Baldwin looks to return to the winner’s circle in 1994. Baldwin sits behind the wheel of the Hot Wheels Chevrolet Camaro driving for Buz McCall and the American Equipment (AER) team. This team has been one of the most successful in the 28 year history of the Trans-Am series. In 1993, AER became the first team in Trans-Am history to claim three consecutive driver’s championships. The team was also instrumental in helping Chevrolet win three of its last four consecutive manufacturer’s championships.
Individually, Baldwin has raced hard to establish his position as one of the top competitors in the Trans-Am series. In 1990 he was named Trans-Am Rookie of the Year, and by 1993 he had scored five wins, a driver’s title, and became the first driver in Trans-Am history to complete every lap of every race in one season (1992). Jack’s racing career is strong: he was the 1984 and ’85 International Motor Sports Association’s (IMSA) GTU champion and was invited in 1993 and 1994 to compete in the International Race of Champions (IROC) against other world-class drivers.
